This interior renovation transforms an underutilized area within the Russel H. Kirkhof Center into a welcoming and flexible Student Success Center designed to support student achievement, connection, and wellbeing. In alignment with the Kirkhof Center’s mission to provide inclusive space where students gather, create, and engage, the design fosters a sense of belonging and ease.

The space balances professionalism with comfort, offering students a place to study, collaborate, and connect with staff and peers in a casual yet supportive environment. The renovation includes dedicated workspace for four full-time staff, tech-enabled collaboration areas, individual and group study zones, a snack and coffee bar, and integrated graphics that celebrate student success.
Thoughtfully selected materials, furnishings, and lighting create an approachable atmosphere that reflects the university’s student-centered values while enhancing the overall functionality and experience of the building.
This project exemplifies how strategic design can reframe existing space to meet evolving campus needs while supporting student life at every level.
