Jeff Montague
Jeff is a senior architect at MMA, and focuses on project management across a variety of project types.
Over his 26 year career, Jeff has developed a thoughtful, in-depth, and analytical approach to design that successfully blends his appreciation for modern design and nature. Jeff strives for design solutions that don’t rely on unnecessary embellishments, but rather focus on solutions that evoke a sense of belonging or familiarity for the user, while emphasizing only that which is essential.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of New Mexico, and completed his Master in Architecture degree at the University of Colorado at Denver, graduating with distinction.
Jeff is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and has considerable leadership experience serving as a past secretary and board member of the American Institute of Architects Grand Rapids chapter (AIA GR), board president of Creative Arts Repertoire Ensemble, and secretary and board member of the East Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
Jeff’s professional vision is one that stays true to the core principles of MMA: a dedication to providing a thoughtful, in-depth, service-oriented approach while staying true to the design ideology.
When not devoting his time to work, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling the world, playing golf, and engaging in meditation.
